Clamfest

The 9th Annual Highlands Clamfest, featuring four days of seafood, rides, games, music and live entertainment in Huddy Park and on the streets surrounding it. Billed as a seafood festival, Clam Fest features a potpourri of activities and fun for the entire family, entertainment, and all kinds of food. Rides and games for the kiddies, live music and a disc jockey, a world-class clam-shucking competition, and a baby costume contest. There will also be crafters and vendors selling everything from clothing and jewelry to homemade barbeque sauce and handmade soaps. The event will run Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
