| Players: | 2 or More |
| Objective: | Overcome Obstacle |
| Supplies: | 2 Pieces of Rope |
| Any Soft Toys, Blankets, Pillows | |
| Children pretend they are hiking through the woods on an adventure. They come to a river (the two pieces of rope laid parallel to form the river banks) and must cross the river to get back home safely. Each time they get over the river, widen the river (ropes) and they do it again. When it becomes too wide to step over, they must use pretend rocks, logs or other objects (blankets, blocks, or other toys) to help them across the river. |
| One person stands with hands behind back. The other person stands directly behind, putting his/her hands around the first person. The front person provides the voice and facial expressions, while the person in back makes the hand gestures. Together, act out scenes such as eating in a restaurant, brushing teeth or washing face. |
| Begin by dividing the group into two equal teams. Make a line at one end of game area, a string or rope will do. Line up the two teams behind the starting line. The first players from each team begin the game by fanning the balloon with the cardboard. They are to keep the balloon in the air and go to the end of the game area and back to the next player. The cardboard can’t hit the balloon and also, if the balloon hits the ground, the player must go to the starting line and begin again. As soon as the player crosses the line they hand off the cardboard to the next player. This continues until all players have gone. The team who finishes first, wins the race. |
