Tie Dyed Wrapping Paper
Supplies: Several Bowls
Food Coloring
Large Sheets of White Tissue Paper
Tap Water

Fill bowls with water and add food coloring.  Fold large sheet of tissue paper as many times as you can.  Quickly dip each corner in a different color bowl, trying not to let the paper become soaked.  Carefully open tissue paper being watchful not to tear paper, then let dry.  If paper becomes too wet, let dry before opening.

Butterfly Clothes Pin Kite
Supplies: Clothes Pin (type that looks like a person)
Ribbon
Tissue Paper

Tie ribbon to “head” of clothes pin.  Cut tissue paper in 6” by 6” squares. Lay 2 or 3 pieces of tissue paper together.  Insert tissue paper in the clothes pin and scrunch up until tissue paper looks like wings.  Attach a black pipe cleaner to head for antennas and you have created a butterfly kite.

Pressed Flower Card
Supplies: Heavy Paper
Magic Markers
Glue
Tweezers
Flowers
Wax Paper
Ruler
Felt Tips (optional)

Collect a few flowers (don’t take the last ones) from your garden or yard. Place them in a heavy book (example: old telephone book) between two sheets of wax paper for a few days.  Design your card, (you can use the felt tips) then put glue where you want the flowers to go.  Using tweezers, take one flower at a time out of the book and place on the glue.  With a clean cloth delicately press the flower down.  Continue adding flowers until you have completed the design.
