| Play Dough | |
| Supplies: | 4 Cups Flour |
| 1 Cup Iodized Salt | |
| 1 3/4 Cups Warm Water | |
| Food Coloring or Paint Powder | |
| Mix flour, salt, water and food coloring or paint powder together, then kneed for 10 minutes to make Play Dough. To make your child's creations permanent, bake at 300F degrees or air dry for a few days. Paint or varnish figures. Store unused dough in plastic wrap or airtight container - lasts about a day. |
| Play Dough You Can Eat | |
| Supplies: | Bowl |
| 2 Cups Powdered Dry Milk | |
| 2 Cups Smooth Peanut Butter | |
| 1 Cup Honey | |
| Mix ingredients together in a bowl. Make animals, people or anything else. Your creation can be decorated with raisins, coconut or other treats, but must be eaten. They are delicious, but don't eat too much (as I did) or you get a stomach ache! |
| Pour colored sand into
bottles to make a pattern. Gently tap bottle to make room for
more sand, then screw on top. Optional: To make your own colored sand, mix powdered paint and white sand in bowls or trays. |
| Insert wick in jar. Make sand art with different
colored sand, leaving about 2 inches of room at top of jar. Melt wax in
disposable tin can - we suggest putting wax in the disposable can, then placing
the can in a pan containing water. Gently boil the water until wax becomes
a liquid. Adult pours wax in jar making sure the child
is a safe distance away. Great gift idea for Holiday Tables and Gifts. |
